On February 3 2010 Our Family Learned what it means to be a Gold Star Family

My Son Sergeant First Class David J. Hartman along with Sargent First Class Mathew Sluss-Tiller of the 96th Civil Affairs Battalion (ABN) 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (ABN) and Staff Sargent Mark Stets of 8th Psychological Operations Battalion (Abn) 4th psychological Operations Group (Abn) Were Killed in Action in Timagara, Pakistan from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked thier unit with an improvised explosive device.

Our Hearts and Prayers go out to the families of Mathew and Mark. Our Lives have been changed but we know God will work all things together for Good. My son was married and has 2 children Mikey who is now 1 1/2 yo and Cathrine who was born on July fourth.

We have had the Honor of meeting the families of many of our countries Heroes who have fallen in Battle. We must Never forget.
